Fort Fairfield (not to be confused with Fairfield) is located in the northeastern corner of Maine on the Canadian boarder.   

Why would anyone want to live in the middle of nowhere?

Well, people don't know where Fort Fairfield is and this means not many people live here.  This leaves room for beautiful countryside, dense forests, wide-open fields, rivers, streams, lakes and an abundance of wildlife.  Besides, our dog Charlie would never let us move.  When she is not hard at work at the shop she is out digging holes and running through the fields.  Aroostook county is a unique and highly unappreciated little piece of Maine.
